    “信、达、雅”，是近代翻译家严复首倡的翻译标准。
 
    信：忠实可信，我们已经做到；
 
    达：达意通顺，我们也已做到；
 
    雅：文字优雅，是新语丝一直努力的方向。
 
    “Faithfulness, expressiveness, and elegance” has been considered essential to make a good translation since first promoted by Yan Fu in the late   9th century.
 
    Faithfulness:  Being faithful and true to the source text, which we have successfully achieved;
 
    Expressiveness:  Being expressive and articulate, which we  have also successfully achieved;
 
    Elegance:   Exhibiting refined, tasteful beauty of manner,  form, or style, which we have been working  on persistently.
